Academics : Guidance

The Guidance Office, conveniently located in the basement, around the corner from the cafeteria, is primarily designed to assist juniors and seniors in their college admissions process. The resource room has several internet connected computers. Students are welcome to use this area to research colleges on the web, look through our guidance library, and search through scholarship information. Students are welcome during lunch, study period, and after school. In addition, students can make an appointment with the counselor at any time.

The guidance department is made up by the Director of Guidance, a volunteer who assists in college planning, an adminsitrative asssitant who helps with the transcript process, and several counselors from outside agencies: Shalom, Elwyn, and Catapult, who provide us with a Family Connections Counselor who is willing to work with you and your family should a challenge arise at home.

Every student is introduced to the Guidance Department either through one on one sessions or classroom presentations. We also have a lead counselor designated to each grade. Should you feel that your student would benefit from meeting with a counselor, please contact the Guidance office.

Parent appointments are always availabe, should you need them. Please call ahead of time to set up your appointment.
