Since its founding in 1916, West Catholic has been preparing students for the next level of their lives, whether college, workforce, or the armed forces for 100 years.
Today, West Catholic Preparatory High School is a Catholic community of academic excellence in an urban environment who strives to ensure our graduating students are better than when they walked through our doors as freshman. The education offered at West Catholic goes well beyond our academic success, developing characteristics such as work ethic, creativity, critical thinking, handling adversity and many others.
He succeeds Brother Richard Kestler, F.S.C., who announced in January that he would retire at the conclusion of the academic year after thirty years of service to the WCPHS community.
Mr. Colistra has served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at WCPHS since 2012. While in that role, he has worked with the President and Board of Trustees to advance the strategic goals of the school and raised a school record amount of almost $2,000,000 during the 2014-2015 school year. He also overhauled the school’s admissions and recruitment plan, which resulted in a 51% increase in enrollment over three years.
West Catholic is devoted to excellence in teaching, learning, and research, and to developing leaders in many disciplines who make a difference globally. The school, which is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has an enrollment of 410 students.
