Andrew Brady ’02 Announces Departure at Conclusion of School Year

Dear Members of the West Catholic Preparatory School Community,

I write to share an update regarding administrative leadership at West Catholic Preparatory High School.

Mr. Andrew Brady ’02 has dedicated 16 years of steadfast and faithful service to your school community as a teacher, Director of Annual Giving, Vice President of Advancement, and for the past six years as President, Recently, he shared his intention to resign effective June 12, 2026 in order to accept a position with the Connelly Foundation as Senior Program Officer, Access & Opportunity.

At the Connelly Foundation Mr. Brady will focus on school choice initiatives and scholarship programs which will benefit all our Catholic schools.  In this new role he will continue to be an advocate for greater access for school families whose opportunities are limited by financial challenges, while also managing the foundation’s many Catholic school scholarship programs.

Please join me in expressing sincere appreciation and prayerful gratitude for Mr. Brady’s commitment to West Catholic Preparatory. During his time as President, fundraising revenue increased to $16 million, enrollment numbers strengthened to their highest levels since 2008 and long-term sustainability was achieved through a transformative real estate transaction that increased the endowment to $18,000,000.

Most importantly, Mr. Brady embodies the charism of Saint John the Baptist de La Salle by advancing the school’s mission and ensuring students are formed in a community rooted in faith, dignity, and care for the whole person.

The Office of Catholic Education, in conjunction with the school’s Board of Directors will launch a comprehensive search for the next President of West Catholic Preparatory High School. The process will be inclusive and transparent. Our commitment is to identify and hire an educational leader who embodies the virtues of Lasallian education and West Catholic Preparatory High School to propel the school forward into the future.

Please know of my continued gratitude for the sacrifices you make to provide the gift of a Catholic education to your sons and daughters and for your ongoing support of West Catholic Preparatory High School. Also, be assured of our prayers for you during the remainder of this school year and always.

Sincerely,

Mr. Jay DeFruscio

Chief Operating Officer of Secondary Schools
