Dear Members of the West Catholic Preparatory High School Community,
We hope the new year and the new semester find you all well. Today, we are sharing a personnel update affecting our school community.
Mrs. Genevieve Torres, who has served as Principal since 2020, has decided to resign effective February 10th to spend more time with her family and pursue other opportunities. We are grateful to Mrs. Torres for her dedicated service not only to her alma mater but also to Catholic education over the past 16 years. Please join us in extending deep gratitude to Mrs. Torres and prayerful best wishes for success and happiness in her future endeavors.
The Office of Catholic Education (OCE), in conjunction with the School Leadership, have appointed Mr. Michael Field, current Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs, as interim principal of the school effective February 6, 2023, as a robust and thorough search for a permanent replacement is conducted.
As many of you are aware, Mr. Michael Field recently served as Interim Principal while Mrs. Torres was on a Leave. We are all thankful to Mr. Michael Field for stepping into this role during this transitional period.
We will continue to keep the community updated on the search for our next principal and are grateful for the support of all, as well as the trust our parents place in all of us here at West Catholic in the holistic development of their sons and daughters as missionary disciples.
