Catholic Schools Week
West Catholic celebrated Catholic Schools Week with a week full of activities that reflected the theme of faith, excellence, and service.' During this week-long event, various activities were organized to highlight the values and teachings of our Catholic faith. Students participated in prayer services and community service projects that reflect the importance of compassion, kindness, and service to others. One being creating care packages to the salvation army shelter. These activities not only reinforce religious teachings but also instill important moral values in our students.
We kicked off the week with a special Mass that brought together students, faculty, and families to honor our shared values and mission. We celebrated our students on Tuesday by treating them to cupcakes during lunch period, along with a movie night after school. We ended the week with a winter sports pep rally where we cheered on our student-athletes and played a friendly game our basketball. The gym was filled with excitement.
Catholic Schools Week serves as a reminder of the invaluable role that Catholic education plays in shaping young minds. It is a time when students, teachers, and parents come together to recognize and appreciate the unique benefits of a Catholic education.
