Faculty Spotlight- Mr. Poli

Our Faculty Spotlight this month goes to Mr. Poli.  He is a History Teacher and the chair of the department. Mr. Poli has been working at West for 5 years now. Before becoming a history teacher, Mr. Poli’s dream career was to be an Ice Cream Truck Driver. On his days off, he likes to spend his time golfing, hunting, or hanging out with friends.

Mr. Poli’s favorite memory at West is last year’s fun day because our community was full of laughter and joy. We asked him what the best thing is about working at West is, and he said building real connections and relationships with our students and staff. One people he is thankful for at West is his social studies team, “I'm so appreciative of their hard work and dedication.” A piece of wisdom he shares with the student is "Success isn't about how smart you are, it's about how disciplined you are."

One thing that would surprise students about Mr. Poli is that when he was growing up, his family raised chickens and turkeys. If he could have dinner with anyone, it would be Keith Richards. A fun fact about Mr. Poli is that he enjoys hiking and hunting out in the states of western USA.

We are so grateful to have Mr. Poli apart of our West community. We appreciate his hard work and dedication to our students.
