Monique Boykins Named Head Girls Basketball Coach

West Catholic Preparatory High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Monique Boykins as the new Head Coach of the Girls Basketball Program.
Coach Boykins brings a wealth of experience and success to the Burrs. She most recently served as Head Coach at Cheltenham High School, and has previously led programs at Penn Wood High School, Penn State Abington, and Lower Merion High School. She also serves as a Court Coach for USA Basketball’s U16 program.
A graduate of Penn Wood High School, Boykins was a two-time All-Del Val Conference player. She went on to play at Kutztown University, where she set the school record for blocks and earned all-conference honors.
During the 2024–2025 season at Cheltenham, Boykins guided her team to a 21–7 record, an undefeated 10–0 mark in the Suburban One League, and a berth in the state playoffs. While at Penn Wood, she won three Del Val Conference titles and led the team to multiple state tournament appearances.
“We’re excited to welcome Coach Mo to West Catholic Prep,” said Athletic Director Jazz Williams ’97. “She brings not only experience and passion for the game, but also a deep commitment to mentoring student-athletes and building a strong culture within our program.”
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead the Lady Burrs,” said Boykins. “I’m excited to build on the program’s foundation and work with motivated student-athletes both on and off the court.”
