National Honor Society Induction

West Catholic High School proudly welcomed its newest members into the National Honor Society during a formal induction ceremony held on November 18th. Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and current NHS members, students were recognized not only for their academic achievement but also for their character, leadership, and commitment to service—the four pillars of the National Honor Society.
The ceremony opened with a prayer and a warm welcome from Mr. Field, who congratulated the inductees and encouraged them to continue living out the school’s mission through integrity and service. Current NHS officers led the traditional candle-lighting ceremony, each candle symbolizing one of the organization’s guiding principles: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
Following the lighting of the candles, the new inductees were called forward to receive their NHS certificates and take the official pledge, affirming their dedication to upholding the values of the organization both inside and outside the classroom.
This year’s induction recognizes students who have maintained high academic standards, participated in meaningful service activities, and shown leadership in school organizations, athletics, parish communities, and beyond. As members of the National Honor Society, they will continue to engage in service projects throughout the year and serve as role models within the West Catholic community.
West Catholic congratulates all its new NHS members and their families on this significant achievement.
