This course deals with the holistic approach to health. The students incorporate the mental, physical, and social aspects of behavior to the decision making process. Some topic areas of discussion are: alcohol, drugs, tobacco, stress management, nutrition, physical fitness, mental health and STDs.

wc0151 – Sports Medicine

This introductory course covers topics including pharmacology and sports medicine terminology. Students also learn to recognize common athletic injuries. The responsibilities of athletic trainers and potential careers in sports medicine are discussed.
