West won’t let cost stop any student who is admitted based on academic qualifications. We provide more than $2 million in tuition assistance each year. Our commitment to remove economic barriers is part of our Catholic Lasallian ministry, which calls us to provide all students with access to a quality education — no matter their family income.
 
Every family, regardless of need, is required to apply for scholarships & aid using the online FACTS application.

Financial Aid

Need-based awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis according to the financial information submitted through the online application. In addition, students may qualify for one or more of the numerous scholarships available each year.

Scholarships

West Catholic Prep partners with Catholic elementary schools and various organizations to select students for academic scholarships. These include the Maguire Scholars program, for which excellent report cards and performance on the 8^th Grade Scholarship Exam are among the criteria. Students are selected for the Howley Family Foundation Scholarship based on recommendations from elementary schools principals.

Scholarships with specific criteria include:

• Lawrence and Phyllis Rebbecchi Sr. Memorial Scholarship – Four Catholic students who will be attending a Catholic high school are selected based on grades and an essay.
• Ellis Tuition Assistance Grants – Girls who have a single or disabled parent are selected based on criteria for report cards and family income, and a personal statement.

Scholarships offered through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office of Catholic Education are:

• Neumann Scholarship – Elementary school principals invite 8th grade students who are academically talented and meet other criteria to sit for the Neumann Scholar test.
• Josephine C. Connelly Achievement Awards – Students selected attend a Catholic elementary school and strive to achieve their full academic potential.
• St. Thomas More Alumni Association Scholarships – Students selected are related to or recommended by an alumnus of St. Thomas More High School, which closed in 1975.
• Monsignor John Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund – Students selected are Catholic and African American, have exceptional academic ability, and need financial assistance.
