EITC Program Details

A gift to West Catholic Prep can provide a company or individual with a substantial tax credit through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program or (EITC) Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC). By making a contribution to West Catholic Prep, a company or individual can receive PA State tax credits equal to 90% of the contribution. Your support of West Catholic Prep through the EITC/OSTC Program will help in the School’s efforts to make its educational experience available to the most capable students regardless of their financial circumstances.

Who is eligible?

Businesses or individuals that pay PA state taxes.

How do I participate?

Application is as easy as filling out a one page document.

How is the OSTC different from the EITC?

While both programs support students who meet a specific income guideline, OSTC supports students who reside within the boundary of a failing school.  These are the schools that perform in the bottom 15% of Pennsylvania schools. OSTC provides qualified students within these districts with opportunities to receive a quality education from top level institutions. The budget and application for the OSTC is separate from the EITC, meaning businesses may apply for both programs within a given year.
