On Saturday December 3rd the Varsity and Junior Varsity Boys Basketball program performed community service at Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission. Sunday Breakfast is the largest emergency shelter in Philadelphia and provides three free meals a day, 365 days a year to homeless men, women and children. Every night 160 people in need of shelter stay at Sunday Breakfast.
The student-athletes assisted with cleaning the sleeping areas at the facility and helped serve breakfast to those in need at the shelter. “It’s very important for these guys to give back to the community. Community service like this gives them an appreciation for the gifts that they are given and the things that they have.” Said Head Coach Jason Hasson.
Thanks to Coach Hasson and these young men for their selfless service!
