Discipline, selflessness, and hard work—that’s what it takes to excel in athletics. Our championship-winning teams are fierce competitors in the city, PIAA District 12, and Catholic League. West holds 43 city, four state, and 80 Catholic League championships.
Students learn much more than physical skills through their participation in athletics. Through this experience, students are able to develop courage as they take risks and character as they overcome adversity. While the focus is to facilitate the development of each student’s athletic potential, the greater hope is to instill lifelong lessons that will impact students off the field or court.
West Catholic’s proud tradition of athletics is reflected in the beauty and function of its campus facilities, the gymnasium, and the field.
Our field, complete with digital scoreboards, allows football, soccer, and softball teams to host games on regulation fields; our gymnasium is home court for basketball and volleyball. West Catholic athletes also benefit from use of the Weight Training Room, a facility designed specifically for our students.
