Faculty Spotlight: Meet West Catholic’s Brother Dave

I knew I was meant to be a teacher when… I first taught English as a second language in college.

Growing up I wanted to be…. a landscape architect or marine biologist.

Teaching at West Catholic has taught me…to think outside the box.

My favorite West Catholic tradition is…. West’s integration of different nationalities, faiths and traditions.

When people ask me what I love most about my job, I say… the ability to work with young people.

Something I’m really good at is… cooking.

The biggest difference between West Catholic and any other school is… a rich history that spans over 100 years.

My favorite subject to study when I was in high school was… Spanish

The biggest advancement in education during my career has been… the integration of technology.

The best piece of advice I can give to my students is… to never give up on themselves.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given… is to not take myself too seriously.

My favorite book of all time is… “A Prayer for Owen Meany” by John Irving.

Something I don’t leave the house without is… a cup of coffee.
